Good value for a Prenup

I was looking for an affordable way to get a Prenuptial Agreement. Rocket Lawyer offered a free trial, which I used to create the document. I then paid for the membership to get it finalized and reviewed. Compared to what lawyers were quoting me, this was a massive saving. It felt like a really good deal for what I got, especially with the document review by a lawyer. Very practical option.

Reliable for business docs

This isn't my first time using Rocket Lawyer; I've been a member for a while. I needed a new Independent Contractor Agreement this time, and just like before, the process was smooth. Their templates are consistently good, and I appreciate that I can always find what I need without much fuss. It's why I keep coming back for all my small business legal documents. The service just works, every time.

So easy, will use again!

I used Rocket Lawyer to create a Last Will and Testament and it was incredibly straightforward. The interface was super user-friendly and I had the document done in no time. I'm definitely coming back for other legal needs. My friends need to know about this!

Solid service for LLC creation

I recently used Rocket Lawyer for LLC formation for my new business. The process was quite detailed online, walking me through each step. I also opted for their Registered Agent services, which seemed like a good add-on. Delivery of the initial paperwork took about 7 business days, which felt standard. I had a quick question about the operating agreement and used their online chat support; the representative was helpful and answered my query within a few minutes. The quality of the documents appears professional and legally sound. Overall, a good experience for setting up my business entity.

Decent for general legal needs

I used Rocket Lawyer to draft a Power of Attorney. The online document builder was pretty intuitive and guided me through the steps well. It was easy to customize, and I felt confident in the final document. The one minor thing I noticed was that their website can sometimes be a bit slow to load, especially when navigating between different sections. However, the customer service was responsive when I had a question about signing requirements. Overall, it's a solid service for basic legal documents, offering good value, though the site speed could use a small boost.

Is the 'first document free' thing actually true, or is there a catch? Like do you have to sign up for something expensive afterwards?

M Mike Whitfield 2 months ago
It's true, but it's basically the free trial. You get to make one document, and if you don't cancel before the trial ends, then you get charged for the membership.

M Megan B. 2 months ago
Yeah, it's usually tied to the 7-day free trial. So you can make a doc, but remember to cancel if you don't want to keep the subscription.

how easy is it to actually talk to a lawyer on there? like, is it just forms or can you get real advice?

N Nina Carter 2 months ago
You can totally talk to them. It's part of the membership, you can schedule consultations. It's not just a document mill.

It's pretty straightforward, I used it for a quick question about a lease. You submit your question and they connect you with someone licensed in your state. Pretty handy for basic stuff.

Thinking of getting an annual membership to save some money. Do they ever have like, Black Friday deals or anything bigger than the usual discounts?

D Dan E. 2 months ago
They definitely have seasonal sales, especially around November for Black Friday. You can usually snag a better deal on the annual plan then.

C Chris 2 months ago
Yeah, Black Friday is a good bet for bigger discounts on annual plans. I think I got like 40% off once. Also keep an eye out in January or April, I've seen deals then too.

Hey, I'm thinking about getting an LLC set up. Does Rocket Lawyer offer any kind of deal for that, or is it just the regular price?

B Brett Brooks 2 months ago
Yeah, they usually have some kind of promo for LLC stuff. I think I saw a discount code for it a while back when I was looking.

M Mia 2 months ago
They do sometimes! I know they have a free trial for the membership, and sometimes specific services like LLC filing get their own promo codes. Worth checking their site or a coupon site before you pull the trigger.

Wondering about canceling the free trial. Is it a huge hassle or can you do it pretty easily online?

C Chris E. 2 months ago
Super easy. Just go into your account settings and hit cancel. No big deal, did it last month.

It's straightforward, don't sweat it. Just make sure you do it before the 7 days are up to avoid getting charged. Took me like 2 minutes.

Does anyone know if their documents, like for a lease agreement, are actually valid in every state? Or do I need to worry about local laws?

S Steve Z. 2 months ago
They're designed to be compliant across states, afaik. They customize based on your location. Used them for a contract in CA, no issues.
5
S Shane S. 2 months ago
Yeah, they build in state-specific clauses for most things. So if you're making a lease, it should adapt for your state. Always good to double-check though if it's super complicated.

How does Rocket Lawyer stack up against LegalZoom for business formation stuff? Anyone used both?

C Colin F. 2 months ago
I've used both for different things. Rocket Lawyer felt a bit more user-friendly for getting direct legal advice, whereas LegalZoom was maybe a bit more polished for just filing docs. Both are solid though.

S Steve 2 months ago
Depends on what you need. Rocket Lawyer often has better direct attorney access built into their membership, if you think you'll need more than just docs. LegalZoom is fine too, but the lawyer part can be extra.
